Re: TFM-45

Welcome to the forum Gary. This is what I would do, techs with out experience with Carver gear can turn them into a piece of junk! Get your unit from that tech and send it to Rolland at Hightech (Carver repair). It will probably cost you more, but it will be like new when you get it back and it will...

Re: Vintage Polk or Vintage Infinity Speakers

My vote goes to the SDA's. Best speaker I have ever owned. Plus later on you can upgrade the tweeters and crossovers and they sound even better. Room size will affect the SQ of the SDA's, The rear wall placement can be tight but they need about 36" of side wall placement. Anything much less than 36"...

Re: Carver M-1.Ot MIT Speaker Connection Conundrum

Like others have said, upgrade the binding post! If you’re a decent DIY'er it shouldn't be much of a problem. And the best upgrade you could do for any Carver amp. I've upgraded the binding post on my M-4.0t's but not my M-1.0t's yet. The 1.0's binding post look like they will be a bit more of a c...

Re: Firearms purchases should require a test for idiocy

I know what you mean by, not feeling safe. I lived in apartments, years ago too. I'm not a big hunter (to soft hearted) but I do enjoy target shooting and was a member of a indoor shooting range. When my marriage was nearing the divorce, I had the since to get rid of my guns before I did something s...

Re: Velodyne HGS 10

I agree with Dreamer on the Velodyne. If it's truly new, I doubt you could get a better sub for 500.00. I bought a pair of NIB DLS-5000R's on line, knowing that the warranty would be worthless. After about a year and a half one of the amps crapped out. I called Velodyne to see how much to repair it....

Re: Sellers Remorse? or Bullsh!t..

How long has it been since the auction ended? If it's been over seven days with out payment, you will be the bad guy (in e-bays eyes) know matter what was discussed on the phone or e-mails. I would walk away and not leave any feedback, it may bite you in the butt. All communication with a seller sho...

Re: Open her up and show me the guts!!!

I don't have a digital camera but I do have a good 35mm, if nobody posts a pic I will and have it developed on digital disk. I need to take some pics of my bikes anyway.
I saved some good pics of the board that I bought on e-bay, if that will help.
It's pretty much a full chase with it installed

Re: Judge for yourself

The seller is clearly feeling guilty about it. After she sends the money back to you, I would resend it to her and drag her guilt out for a while. Or better yet, send her a 30.00 gift certificate to the UPS store. O:)

Re: sunfire phono board

I got the same response from Sunfire. It was actually 306.00 O:) and I was glad to pay it, only took me eight months to locate one. Sunfire was very helpful though, they sent me the factory stand offs and mounting screws free of charge. VERY GOOD customer service!!! =D> =D>

Re: Judge for yourself

I'm with frankieD. I think the seller is jacking you up. If he would have listed the shipping at 80.00, I doubt the auction would have received any bids, or at least influenced the selling price. I used the online UPS calculator and came up with 60.00 with out packaging. Why couldn't he have done th...

Re: Post your Bike pics

Got to wear Biker boots when kicking a real bike! Me and a friend of mine were checking out a cool custom with a 4" open primary. My friend said "that looks dangerous" I said "hell yes it's dangerous, Leather jackets, chaps and biker boots aren't just a fashion statement". My last dirt bike was a YZ...

Re: Sunfire Tube PREAMP problem

I just rechecked the manual and it dose not give the location of the jumper for the power supply board. But like I said, the power supply board is located on the right front side of the pre amp, mounted on it's side. There was only two prongs on the board for a jumper to be installed. Hear's a >link...
