Re: Anybody up for some white water rafting?

Cruise Tail of the Dragon at deals Gap. http://www.tailofthedragon.com/ 318 curves in 11 miles. Its like listening to 4000 watts for those that like cool roads. it's heavily patrolled now so there aren't as many crashes...but the Tree of Shame still has plenty of decoration: Tail-of-the-dragon--tree...

Re: Anybody up for some white water rafting?

I've done that run...it was pretty white knuckled since water levels were very high. With the drought, it should still be fun, and the spouses could do it - as long as they aren't above class 3.

There's a good reason to keep furniture clear of AL-III's. They are errosive.

Re: Post your favorite pics of anything...

Hey Skip !! Let's meet and eat at Gilligans Seafood in Lexington sometime. The wife is always game for that...it's a nice momo ride. did you ever huny the Keg Creek management area. It's a half mile from me by boat. I saw the biggest monster ever there, but it was too dark for a shot with a bow. Tom...

A few of my own favorites. I made the file name describe the shot as I downsized them.

Re: !! CarverFest Embroidered Polos "SEPTEMBER 1ST DEADLINE" !!

I just completed the order for c-more. I originally posted for a L & XL tee, but ordered one XL golf shirt instead. I added the $5.50 shipping in a separate PayPal xfer. Thanks... Mark Seymour....'c-more' (PayPal AND Carver name) I'd also like an XL tee - I assume it's best to treat that separately ...

Re: Micro AL-III center speaker ?

I just bought a woofer that might work for the mini-AL center speaker. I found a new, spare 6.5" B&W woofer from a 600 series (603-S3 ?) B&W 603-S3 woofer.jpg Since I have a TFM-42 supplying the AL-III's, I thought I might bi-amp the center with my two bridged TFM-6CB's fed from a Rane or DBX xover ...

Re: Carver Remote Control Unit RH-28v - Came across while moving

Do you still have the remote? I might upgrade from my CT-3 to a CT-28v today, and it doesn't appear to have the remote.
Thanks,
Mark

Bigfoot at Carverfest?

Is Skip (Sasquach) going to Carverfest for a family reunion? His relatives were on CNN a lot lately. Supposedly the remains were found in North Georgia...easy walking distance to the Carverfest location. That's okay - even bigfoot should appreciate good music. He's seven feet tall so he gets to choo...

Re: Micro AL-III center speaker ?

Great idea! Especially since I have 2 already and am not using one. I also have a spare 5" toyota sub from an MR2 that's in a sealed 8"x8"x16" box that sounds great in the cars...I even have a Carver car amp for it !

Re: SHIRTS AVAILABLE FOR CARVERFEST right logos & great price

Please reserve one L and one XL tee. Figure $4.50 shipping X 2 ??
Mark

..."the original shirts were gray..."
When I was afflicted with OCCD years ago I bought 3 green tee shirts...
Were these official tees? Stashed for more than 10 years, only for special occasions.

Re: Micro AL-III center speaker ?

I might try the 30" ribbon by itself first (limited to > 200 Hz with part of an Amazing crossover of course). The AL-III's subs are 8 feet to either side of it and Sunfire sub will vibrate a 2 liter coke off the pantry shelves...turns the entire slab of my A-frame into a driver. (my slab floats on t...

Re: PLEASE have a Carverfest 09 !!

That cracked my wife up. I might have to use that. If you see a black BMW cycle roll up and a bug peppered dude gets off, that'l be me! She's still teaching, and wants me to go back to work..."I needed more money while you were working - how could you think I'd be happy with less". Jealous wen...

Re: What gauge speaker cable??

Well, somebody help me decide... For AL-III's, is it probably worth a couple hundred to take advantage of the extra termials and upgrade to Monster M series bi-wire over 12 gage "lampcord"? And one more question. Should I coil up 28 feet of expensive wire under the stereo rack for the speaker that s...
