It's only the cabinets, though. What would you put in them?

Re: Tubes - The Master List - Cross reference and tweaks -

Do any of those tube links also have top plate panels available? Under tutelage I can probably manage the soldering and assembly, but machining a plate is beyond my skill and toolset.

NOT here you're not. We dont have any moderators. AND welcome sorry I couldn't get you in sooner but it was too late at night by the time Robert got ahold of me. It looks like my first 2 posts had to be approved before being posted - just a spam trap. I just didn't know how long I'd have to deal wi...

Re: DIY tube amps

Awesome, thank you very much!

I am assuming that someone who knows how to read schematics can glean a parts list out of those diagrams?

And where do you source the case for it? Any generic 6 tube case?

Re: CarverAudio & TheCarverSite Reconciliation

Well I finally got accepted to the other site - posted in the welcome thread and even my welcome post is being moderated. Have I said lately how much I love you guys. When I joined this site, someone reached out to me, I believe it was Trietz, asking me how all was because they saw me just peeking ...

I don't know how the mods are feeling about it. I'm willing to let the vote be the vote. I just know what I've gotten in PM's and emails since the idea was floated, and have expressed that to James and Rich.

Re: CarverAudio & TheCarverSite Reconciliation

I hate to be difficult, really hate it but we've been through a lot lately, and I'd hate even more to see us blow it in the stretch. So James, by "as is" you mean as an independent forum, but without RP in charge? That's not how I interpreted your statement, but I guess you meant "as it is right no...

You would be able to choose. You could either leave it as is, or select a different theme without affecting other users.

http://www.carveraudio.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=157&t=15157 Dude...Mike posted a link on the previous page a month ago.... There aren't any schematics on that page. Just pictures of the amps, and I don't know enough to follow it just from pictures. At least with schematics I've got a few people t...

Re: DIY tube amps

I looked for them too and I had the same result -- nothing. This happens a lot when forum databases get moved from one site to another. It's not at all uncommon for someone to miss moving an image directory from one site to the next while maintaining it in the same relative path on one machine vs. ...

I found the link with the images for the 20w fest amp, but the images didn't survive the transition evidently.

Re: DIY tube amps

John, You should make a Carverfest amp all of the schematics are available on this site, and essential iron is available from Edcor. Other than that the rest of the parts are readily available.A lot of us here have these already and would be able to answer your questions as well as provide directio...

Yeah, I'd have to. We have no budget money anytime in the near future for anything but paying down some of the bills.

Re: CarverAudio & TheCarverSite Reconciliation

Anyway, his response was utterly unacceptable to me, and I signed out for the last time. But a lot of others, who may or may not have had prior grievances, exploded at the way it all happened. And here we are, 10 days later, and the now the guy who is supposed to clear the air from that side says h...

Re: DIY tube amps

The amps always kill, not the voltage Why is that? John John, I think he is saying the AMPERAGE is the deciding factor in lethal shocks. A tazer uses up to 100,000 volts but at only a fraction of an amp.... So... Volts are an indication of potential? And amperage is how much is actually let through...
