Re: I'm bummed !

I can say this is the most blunt, hardcore forum I have ever been a member of by a long shot. I myself try not to take things too seriously (sometimes I cant help it). I myself am a very sarcastic person.. But not everybody is the same and before you go ahead and aim insult or agressive behavior tow...

Re: Sully's gear

Nice gear, I especially like those Yamaha NS10's for studio use. They are the studio standard for all the right reasons.

Re: 6DJ8, 6922, 7308, E88CC E188CC tubes.

The 7308 is the king of all those tubes and scary expensive also. I just happen to have a pair ready to drop into my C-19.... :) The 7308 is the same as a E188CC and I will disagree that just because they are labled as "premium" over a 6922, this is not always the case. There is a better chance tha...

Re: 6DJ8, 6922, 7308, E88CC E188CC tubes.

Well I got to try those nice expensive Valvo E188CC tubes in my C-19 today. All I can say is WOW WOW WOW WOWWWWWZERS!!! Worth every single penny!!! In case some of you are wondering, yes I did buy another C-19. I missed it very much and just had to get another one. Details on that in another thread ...

Re: 6DJ8, 6922, 7308, E88CC E188CC tubes.

Funny, I've tried alot of other tubes and the 6dj8 family from what I have used, are my cup of tea. I guess it really depends on the system. I'll take a 6dj8 over a 12ax7 any day. Thats coming from someone that has used a very good amount of "the best" 12ax7's out there and only a handful of cheaper...

Re: 6DJ8, 6922, 7308, E88CC E188CC tubes.

Smooth plat tele's,,not bright,, revealing though,,, Mullard--traditional British sound, kinda' warm, excellent midrange bloom.Siemens,,somewhat analytical,,very accurate,,I don't buy used anymore,,if it ain't NOS,it does not go in my gear,, not to sound arrogant,,but there is just no substitute for ...

I just picked up a pair of NOS Valvo E188CC (Heerlen, Holland mfg). These were far from cheap but are suppost to be one of the absolute finest 6DJ8 varients ever made, not to mention RARE! We will see.

Re: 6DJ8, 6922, 7308, E88CC E188CC tubes.

Well when I had my jolida tube dvd player I only noticed faint differences when a swaped a few tubes but my old c-19 pre responded wildly to different tubes. I only tried a few rare NOS tubes but most were $20 each common stock tubes. I've tried just about everything when it comes to 12ax7's (mac ge...

6DJ8, 6922, 7308, E88CC E188CC tubes.

I'm in the market for a nice pair of 6DJ8 (or other varients) tubes. I really want to cut the BS and go straight for a premium pair. I've read the reviews, not it's your turn to tell me yours. Any recommendations? If so tell me what you used them in and try your best to describe them. I'll be chimin...
