Re: FUCK YOU PAYPAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Bill, When you list an item, you can eliminate everyone but the US if you want. The problem is, you have to do this every fucking time you make a listing. Egay won't remember this and I have found where you can make it a default. I listed 5 items in a row and had to go in the listing settings an...

Re: FUCK YOU PAYPAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"That's weird. PayPal seems to always want me to change to pay from my checking account. I refuse because I have little recourse if the deal goes south and PayPal won't give me my money back" They want you to use your checking account because the 3% fee they charge the seller is pure gravy to them. ...

Re: FUCK YOU PAYPAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya wanna here another good one? I sold a couple items on eBay a couple weeks ago to the same seller for $94 with shipping. Well, apparently, someone had hacked his account (according to him) and made a $99.99 charged to some place called Frogstar.com (or something like that) which gave him a negativ...

Re: FUCK YOU PAYPAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So anything I sell on EB now has to be for cash only. No more Paypal.
Problem is, you can't list on ebay unless you use PayPal and they will pull your listing if you say you will only accept cash.

Re: Wimpy meter light in Sunfire

It's a love/hate thing, because I love the amp and hate the meter. Bill, I agree the meter is rather useless and being useless, the light really doesn't matter (though I find it more pleasing than the blue (on) LED on my 5200). Reading Mr. Carver's explanation on why he did it make sense to me but ...

Re: Wimpy meter light in Sunfire

Oh, I see. You have it in an enclosed cabinet behind smoked glass.  Funny, I can't tell if anything inside your cabinet is on except for the power station. But, like I have several times and especially in your TV room, I would not want super bright lights below the TV while I am...

Re: Wimpy meter light in Sunfire

Well, I also listen to my 400 ~seven for stereo (4 channels bi-amping my AL-IIIs) during the day time, and I can't tell if the amp is on by the lamp, because I can't see that it's lit at all. In fact, I had been running some test with the fronts off (I do this by turning off the active crossover), ...

Re: Wimpy meter light in Sunfire

Why would you defend a worthless meter with an even more worthless lamp? I not defending the meter but I sure don’t want super bright amp lights in my DARK theater room. But a soft glow, much like a tube so many people on here love to see, tells me in a non-intrusive way the amp is on. In fact, I l...

It's all about the mood. Do you watch your amp's meter or the movie? We are talking about a theater amp here.

Re: Wimpy meter light in Sunfire

Do you prefer a romantic dinner by candle light or halogen light?

In the theater room, I want to watch the movie w/o bright lights. For music, I always like LED ladders. Man, back in the day, I loved the SAE amps and pre-amps with all those lights!!!

Cinema Grand 4X700 vs Theater Grand TGA-7400

Are these the same amp? :-k I noticed the Cimema Grand is rate for 400 watts - all channels from 20 Hz to 20 kHz - 0.5% T.H.D while the TGA-7400 is rated the same except at 1 kHz. It has been my experience the power rating is usually lower if you take an amp rated a 1 kHz and rate it at 20Hz to 20 k...

Re: Silver-7 Tubes on eBay

Yeah, that seems kind of scary not having a reserve? I also noticed your headphones are back up also with no reserve? Best of luck to you James :D[/quote Just a hunch but, I'll bet that there's a "reserve sized" bid already in place.....just in case! :-" DAMN, I wish some of my relatives would go a...
