On one song by HankWilliams JR (Born to boogie) there is a passage that will trip the tweeter protection on all four 9's at the same time never fails. I admit when this happen...

I agree that the extra money for name brand wire is a waste. My longest run is about 40 feet so I bought the Sound King 12 GA wire from Parts Express. Back then a 100 ft roll was 29 bucks.

TFM75, I did not receive the M500 service manual as of this mornings email check. Would I assume that you will send me a link as you did for the M1.5T? Which I greatly appreciated Thanks, Harry

Actually I used a soldering iron to melt the glue or whatever exposing the connection. When heated I found that the braided lead wire pulled out of the cone with a 1/8" piece remaining in the metal grommet. I removed that piece and used a solder sucker to clear the grommet for lead wire insertion wi...

Solvent needed

Does anyone have a suggestion as to a solvent I can use to remove the cement or epoxy used on the speaker cone where the connection is made between the lead wires and the voice coil winding? I am pretty sure I have an intermittant connection at this point as the speaker cuts in and out. Needs to be ...

There were more than one version of HPM speakers, the 60's came with both foam and the sticky cloth surround depending on the year they were made. The HPM 100's came in two versions from what I have read on other sites, a 100 watt model and a 200 watt model. The HPM 900's are the newest version of t...

This is just a long shot but it may be a transformer buzz that is muffled by the cabinet since the hum is really not that loud and is present when the sub is in standby mode, since the transformer is energized as long as the plug is in the wall. After a little more thought quite posssibly the cabine...
