i fully agree, the problem was the tape transport system which was made of a hard plastic(they called it a fancy name...) and because of this, the tape would always mess up as the temp would change, and this was just one of the many quirks of this tape player...the tuner was good, but that is all....stay away from them, no way to fix them....
