Hi Birdwire,

Welcome!

TFM-55, you a talking about serious power. The CV's can usually handle a lot of power but are pretty effecient and don't have to have it. But I'm not familiar with the model you mention, I take it a most recent edition?

I'm not a real electronics guru or anything, but I've been playing with tube stuff since way back when. So I'm a bit outside on a lot of Mr. Carvers wonderful SS inventions, but his later tube stuff I can only dream about, as powerful and expensive as it is. But a number of guys hang out around here that will talk the tube stuff, sometimes, if you poke 'em enough to wake 'em up anyway.

Drop by and talk circuits and doo-dad's anytime. Some of the knowledge that pops out can be interesting sometimes. And then they go back to sleep.

Which I may too. Ha.

Birdwire,

Where did you go? Post more about what you're up to, Start you're own system thread. It's always fun to hear about what folks are up to.

The deficit is it's been 2 years I been working on my TFM-55X and it's circuitry is by far the most complicated circuity I ever worked on. I've got one that powers on but doesn't click the relays so I know there's a serious problem going on because the Protection relays stay open cutting off audio to the speakers. If everything works again, the relays should both close after a few seconds of amp stabilization and audio transferred to speakers.
