Nicely put! My wife just calls me crazy. She was fine until the day the SDA SRS 2.3's were delivered by a trucking company on a pallet. She was really less than thrilled when I asked her to help me move those 155 lb. behemoths into the house. Oh, the things we go through for audio bliss!

Brings back memories on my wife's face when I had the Plat 4's delivered. Glad others experienced that same look. Probably will relive the same facial expression when the Legacy Whispers are delivered. Although, once every 15 to 20 years is not bad. No need to worry, it is usually short lived.

There is a set of Amazing's on e-bay right now that I'd love to add to the collection. I'd have trouble hearing them from 6 feet under though, 'cause the little lady would kill me if I showed up at home with those.

I'll never forget the day my buddy took me to Hi Fi Buys in Atlanta. We lived in S. Georgia and had no audio retailers to frequent. It was my first experience with high quality audio. The salesman cranked up a pair of Polk Monitor 10's and I was in heaven. Shortly after he took us into the high end audio room and demonstrated a pair of Carver Amazing loudspeakers. I was absolutely floored! My buddy had a small inheritance from his grandmother that was burning a hole in his pocket. He walked out of there with an Adcom GFA-555, Adcom GTP-500, Polk SDA 2B's and a Denon CD player. He was my college roommate which meant that I would get to listen to that set-up frequently. It was a very good day!

Bought an old adcom pre last month for my stereo tv.
No good, so yesterday I got in a Carver CT-17. This has changed everything, and I have not yet played with Holy Grams - haha.

Had trouble with the old Adcom doing both channels at once as I am an audio idiot.
Will mail it to anyone for free Cds, including you as You seem to have this figured out.
