Doug, they burn out so fast, I wouldn't bother. Mine hasn't worked in 3 years~

I'd like to eventually convert to a blue LED on mine, but I'm about burnt out for now with my latest project...

 Yeah, you have been doing some stuff all right! The fact that the light does not work is not bothersome to me, so I'll take your advice and leave it for now. If you decide to do that LED conversion please post a how to thread. Thanks Gary.

Re: The new console arrived :) ...... :(

Even when the light works (mine still does), it is so dim as to be barely visible behind a smoked glass door. I'm with Gary. I'll wait until someone opens one up to show me the insides of one, and then maybe I'll do an LED conversion.

\:D/ The TG IV FINALLY Arrived Today!!! \:D/ It looks almost like new! I'll be removing the Pioneer, and installing the TG IV tonight and tomorrow. Can't wait to hear this system now! Sure do wish I had those 3 sets of CarverAudio interconnects!

Be prepared to be surprised. I swapped out a perfectly good Haemon Kardon AV and the difference was amazing.

The Sunfire is dead silent and the set up was easy & effective. And for 2 channel...sonic holography.

Good for you Dude !!!

Re: The new console arrived :) ...... :(

Been working at it all day, and have everything put together. So far I've spent several hours figuring out the TG IV, and have finally gotten toe OPPO sending 8 channel. I had a heck of a time with that until I went into the OPPO set up menu and found how to get the 8 channel to work. Sound is fantastic. We are going to watch the Dark Knight tonight. I hear the 8 ch sound it great on that bluray! Tomorrow I'll get into 2 channel. So far I'm VERY impressed with what I have! :D

Awesome!! I didn't know you had to program the OPPO for 8-channel, but I have not come to that point yet on mind. Thanks for the tip! Sounds like you are enjoying it. See if you like the SH? I have gotten so used to listening to it I leave my SH on default at start up.

\:D/ I Am Soooooo Impressed with the Sunfire and the OPPO \:D/
I was having a heck of a time trying to figure out why the system was only putting out stereo from the OPPO. At first I thought it was a TG IV problem, but after going through all the set up directions a couple of times, the light bulb went off on top of my head. I looked at the OPPO set up menu and discovered it was set to stereo. So, with that set properly, I then had 8 channel audio. We watched Dark Knight last night, and my Wife commented, "It's just like being at the theater!" The sound is 10 leaps ahead of the old Pioneer 84TXSi. Today I'll listen to some tunes using the OPPO as a SACD player, as well as regular CD player. I'll also listen using the Sony 300 disk changer. I'd be doing that now, but the Wife is asleep. :(

Re: The new console arrived :) ...... :(

Just picked these up for $50 shipped to me. I think I got a good deal.

I'm still getting a very small hum from something. Hope these balanced interconnects will cure it. Thinking about running another ground from the TG IV to the ground pin on the receptical. I was kind of surprised the TG IV is just a 2 pin electrical connection.

Re: The new console arrived :) ...... :(

That is a great deal for 5 cables! Hey, try your processor on "Party mode". From what I understand this mode will play equal balance through "all" speakers including the surrounds. I have always wondered what this would sound like? :-k I am glad you are enjoying it, but, ummmm, :-k Dang it! Now I am getting OCCD really bad!

Re: The new console arrived :) ...... :(

I have an Ultimate receiver that I use in Party mode all the time to run the speakers in my whole house system. I run 3 pairs off the receiver's amps (no center) and 3 pairs off separate amps. Works great.
