Pictures of My Current System, Still a Work In Progress.....

Gents,

Here's some pics of my recently upgraded, but still modest, audio system. I've owned the AL-IIIs and the TFM-35 since new, everything else is a recent acquisition (except the TV).

Everything is overexposed to bring out detail in the sea of black. :)

I still need a TFM-45 and a couple other goodies but this is it for now.

Cheers,
Terry

Wow! Awesome set-up! Thank you for the update! One question; What year is your Sunfire processor? I only ask because I noticed it has HDMI? I didn't think the older units had that, :-k

That's the TG-5, Jerry. It only passes HDMI video for switching....it doesn't pass audio over the HDMI.

Re: Pictures of My Current System, Still a Work In Progress.

Hey, thanks guys, for the kind words.

As you will notice, there's no center channel yet. I need another amp, probably a TFM-45. Once I get that, it will drive my AL-IIIs and I'll use my existing TFM-35 to drive a center speaker and a non-amplified sub-woofer that I have laying around. But I need to allow my wallet a chance to recover a bit.

Cheers,
Terry

Re: Pictures of My Current System, Still a Work In Progress.

Hi guys,

I picked-up a TFM-55 last week. As mentioned earlier, that now drives my AL-IIIs and the TFM-35 does a funky duty of driving a center speaker and a subwoofer. Last thing that I'll look for is a better center speaker. I'm not even going to mount this one, it just sits on the table for now. Finally I can listen to 5.1 on the TV. That was the whole goal of this upgrade. Now I am down to one system in the family room and the cheap AV will move to the bedroom.

I'm 53 and have been interested in audio since about 13. I've never owned a system like this, though. I can't believe the sound. Wow, nothing like ~2400 rms (@8 ohm) to wake up a room! And this is overshadowed by many of your systems. I can't imagine what those sound like......

Cheers,
Terry

Terry,

Great set-up. Anyone else smell OCCD in the making?
