Welcome!

Welcome, Maryland from sunny North Carolina.
In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence.

The best way to enjoy digital music reproduction is to never listen to a good analogue reproduction.

Re: It's a far cry from a crystal set.

Did my first one with a germanium crystal and a very thin wire (cats whisker). Tuned the thing by moving a contact across a coil of wire wound onto a toilet paper tube.
It should sound like it isn't there!
