=D> Looks like a great place to hang out and listen to music. Love the tube preamp, I bet that makes a wonderful sounding front-end. Great looking room. =D>

(I bet the Polks are really nice in there. I think a pair of BIG speakers would be a lot of fun in that big room - how about Phase Linear Andromedas, Carver Amazings, Klipschorns, or even some big Martin Logans).
Phase Linear Andromedas, 2000 II Pre, 5100 II Tuner
Carver Amazings - original and silver, M500t,C-1, C-4000, PM 1.5, M200t
Manley Stingray; Cambridge Audio DacMagic, 640p; Pro-ject Tube Box SE II
McIntosh MC2205, C28
JBL 4430, 4425, 4311B
Rega P5, Benz Micro Wood, Cary/AES AE-3 Preamp

But I can send you the plans....

Now that is some big speakers !
I bet you sitting at that keyboard singing is a sight to see.

Re: OO ANALOG

Key board is Yamaha "piano" that I got my daughter for her BD...she used to play pretty good and is getting back into it with this semi-professional KB. It really sounds good. Eventually I'll hook it up to the main system (organ music anyone? ); but I never got past one handed play (in the "Miracle piano" lessons from our old KB). Dog may look fat, but he's actually skinning down a lot (14 years old!).

These speakers WOULD look real nice in your "playroom", OO (and fill the ENTIRE room with sound! And good to ~700 CLEAN watts according to Huw, so good to go with your 600x2)...if I were to do them again I'd 1) use bird's eye maple veneer instead of the "generic" maple veneer - birds eye a LOT more pricey but oh so much more beautiful! and 2) go with "new" EPI drivers from humanspeakers.com. I'm happy with the re-foamed one's I "scournged" from ePrey, but after all the hassles of getting some 8 ohm drivers and some 4 ohm (the 1000's use the 4 ohm drivers which yields an 8 ohm impediance speaker) and buying the overpriced re-foam kits, it's a lot quicker/easier/better to probably just bite the bullet and purchase all 16 drivers from Huw - probably about a grand). Can build the boxes for about a grand as well (with birdseye maple veneer and solid walnut corner posts...). Like I said, I can email you the plans...but unless you well versed in woodworking I'd just hire a local cabinet maker to make these airtight boxes...Ed

Re: OO ANALOG

Sweet looking pair of rooms. I wonder if that Olympia Beer tray was made by Continental Can Corporation (CCC). My second job out of high school was stamping those exact beer trays on a big press in 1979. Also did Gennesse beer trays too.

I like your audio stand, what kind is it?
