Nowhere but the U$A. Monsanto has spent an enormous amount on label-suppression and the usual science-tampering, but it is a state-by-state battle, win some, loose some.

And this thread got so far off topic nobody can find it anyhow.

I'd get an Oppo 980H and be done with it.
It should sound like it isn't there!

Thanks for your timely and informative replies. Unfortunately many of the original parts for my 1962 era Fisher 800B were sourced in Great Britain and Germany. So somewhere in somebody's basement shop other than the US their making parts for our enjoyment (and their profit). I switch between the two solid state and tube flavors.
The parts for the upgrades were sourced on both Carver 6200 and the Fisher came from China and Germany for the most and Hey, Both sound Damn good. :D

Best enjoyed at full volume.
