BIllD's Stuff 2 (Still Continued)

In the corner of the room is an old Victrola cabinet that was my Dad's first piece of Hi-Fi equipment.

. On the other side of the room is another cabinet.

It houses my C-500 and C-4000, and is attached to the system for rear back speakers (on Aux 2) and Room 2 (on Aux1).

My house came equipped with in ceiling speakers in five locations (master bedroom, family room, living room, master bath and patio). Those speakers are on a separate system in the family room.

Note the Squeezebox here, also. (continued...)

Re: BIllD's Stuff 2 (Still Continued)

Oh, forgot to mention the speakers are being used as subwoofers for the family room. Two AR3a 12" drivers in those acoustic suspension (walnut) cabinets The mids and tweets got burned out along the way (still installed but bypassed). One 4R woofer on each channel of that champagne M-400. The A/V receiver on the top is a Yamaha. Am using the main amplifier channels for the living room (like it's needed there now) and the patio. The receiver below it is an old Sherwood 100 WPC that runs the speakers in the bedroom and master bath (for morning wakeup FM radio routine stuff without running the whole house). The A-500x runs the speakers in the family room.

Whole house systems, very nice. I love the Victrola idea for the TT.

It's nice to see that you can still use the vintage Victrola.

Wow you have some really nice equipment. How do you like the Linear tracking TT? It will be nice when I can put some audio gear upstairs(1.5 yr old like to play with things that look expensive!)
Bob Carver built a time machine and went back in time to stop the JFK assassination. As Oswald shot, Bob met all three bullets with sound waves from a subwoofer he built, deflecting them. JFK's head exploded out of sheer amazement.

Re: BIllD's Stuff 2 (Still Continued)

The linear tracking turntable is pretty good. It is a direct drive quartz locked motor which are only fair on these turntables. Ultra low mass upside down U shaped aluminum arm with Shure V-15 V-P cartridge tracks very well with no coriolis affect.
