Command central for all the digital music is at the desk in my office.
Note the Realistic (read Radio Shack) Minimus 7s and the black Carver M-400. Don't get much bass out of those, so I supplement it with this.
. Two 12" woofers in a push-pull arrangement. Only 150 Watts, but plenty of bass out of the M&K MX-125 Mk.II.
On the computer, I use the SqueezeCenter software to read my iTunes library, which is all in Apple lossless (on the computer near the main rig out in the living room, it is replicated in WAV for direct play, if I so desire). I can also use Windows Media Encoder to "broadcast a live event". What that means is that I can take a digital source (like an HD-Radio station) and bring it into that computer in the living room, and turn around and re-broadcast it through my local LAN to SqueezeCenter and back out to the Squeezeboxes. Lots of flexibility.
