That is a cool set-up! How do you get behind the cabs? Do they slide out where you can access the back? With the windows there I don't think you would go "outside" on the other side to wire! haha. Hey look! There is our neighbor again tearing apart the side of his house again! LOL! And what surge/conditioners are you using? They almost look like PanaMax?

Engtaz, thanks for the kind words. Jag, whenever we built, I left a cavity behind the equipment and the Hitachi. A step stool is all that is needed once you pull out the TV to get at the back of the equipment. Hrdrokn, yea I do have the bug as do most of us on this forum! As we age and have a little more money in our pocket, it seems to get worse. Just can't share with the wife how much this hobby of ours costs.

I could only get away with that in a dedicated Media Room. The WAF is not high with these puppies, at least not in my household. However, with the lights off is when they truly disappear and that is when she comes to appreciate their beauty through the sound they deliver. Before we built our current home, when I had these delivered in the early 90's to our former home, you could hear my wife's jaw hit the floor when she saw their barn door size. I had told her I was having some new speakers delivered, but didn't reveal the size. (no big deal, right?) I had upgraded from some 15 year old 901's and you know their footprint. Therefore, you could only imagine her thoughts when the Plat replacements came through the doors carried by two burly guys to be placed in our living room. In closing, after 15 o 16 years of ownership, she still dislikes the size, but loves the sound.

We built a bump out on the second story porch walk-around porch. Therefore, their is a cavity behind the equipment. Pull out the big screen, grab a step stool and your'e there. Thanks for the compliments guys.
