Those are the HT speakers; heavy little cast aluminium buggers hooked up to the Sony HT receiver at the far right. Have to make a mounting bracket for the centre speaker that fits below the TV.

They aren't finished breaking in yet Perry but already they sound fantastic. Got lucky with the placement as my dealer had the measurements from his sound room noted down and they were almost spot on. My only other issue is that the speaker cables take a lot longer to break in so more tweaking in sight.

Only 1 of them working right now Steve; the other one is disassembled and being refurbished/upgraded/improved (re-capping, new binding posts, input jacks, IEC C-7 power socket, power switch, etc ... all reversable). Just one more project I have to get back to during the Christmas holidays.

Re: My systems

Those are some great pieces of gear OBI. I recognize the older Nakamichi player in that group. I used to have a cd player 2 at one time. It was absolutely perfect. Those new Martin Logans should sound beautiful, very transparent and detailed. Congratulations.

LOL Geoff!!! That top pic is a joke of course! It came from a book on nightmare room decors from the 60s and 70s!

Re: My systems

Well.....out of courtesy I wasn't inclined to comment on decor or the length of time that you may have been photographing your systems!!
However, you do show a speaker placed on top of another component in the more recent pic.

Re: My systems

Obi,

In light of our recent PM conversations, I think you need to post a new report as to the sound of your new Martin Logan "Source" speakers. Your description of them in our PMs was very eloquent, and I think some of the other members who have heard MLs before they were properly broken in might benefit from your insights...
