I just found a great old cd player on E-Bay. Got it for a buy it now price of $175.It is a Nakamichi CD Player 2 with low miles on it. This is the same CD mechanism that was used in the MacIntosh CD changer. I bought it from a guy in Indiana who used it for about a year and then stored it. It has been tested and the belt for the drawer has been replaced.

Congrats Docadillac! BTW, I love my Nakamichi MB-3s 7 disk changer

Thanks OB1, I really liked the player I had years ago. It really sounded nice. I also had a pair of Sennheiser headphones that were a synergistic match. I have been thinking about getting another one for a while but most of the ones I've seen have looked pretty beat up. I found this by chance yesterday.

Thanks all, sorry it took me so long to reply. My computer crashed and I had to reload the OS. It took me a long time to figure out how to fix it and get it working right as I had no internet!! Anyway all is good again. I plan to add more stuff as I go along.
Re: Beginnings of a new system.
Glad you made it back, my computer crashed about a month ago, some fricken virus that looks like a virus update from Microsoft. Thank god we didn't open it!!! It still took us a few days to get our computer back up.
