Nice system you need to get some pics posted. I like the Rega P3-24.... Was looking at 1 b4 I got my Thorens. Its the best bang for the $ TT out! Nice to see more and more Carver Nuts playing Vinyl.

Welcome! It's good to see another Martin Logan owner on here. It seems that a lot more Martin Logan owners are going to Carver and Sunfire these days, and I think this is a good thing!

Please post some pics! I'd love to see those Vantages. Those are some super-sweet-sounding speakers. Why did you choose them over the Vista? The Vantages can't be bi-amped, and with the right amps (like Carvers or Sunfires) some people think the Vista actually sounds better than the vantage, especially with regards to bass "punch"...

I would be very appreciative if you could post a brief "review" of your system. Let us know why you chose ML speakers and Carver amps. We each have our own reasons for the gear we choose, and I'm always curious as to why others have gone with the ML/Carver combo, despite what the "audiophile press" seem to say about that combo. Personally, I LOVE the sound of Carver amps and Martin Logan speakers, and judging from your setup, I assume you do to!

One more thing--how did you come to use a Lineaum center speaker in that setup? Why not use a Martin Logan center?

Welcome--you are a member of an elite little subgroup here--Electrostatic and Magnetic Field club... \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

Have you ever heard a properly set up pair of MLs smudaaar (and I don't mean at Magnolia where they woldn't know how to plug up a clock radio properly)? They are not for everyone but if they are for you, you will know so in 3 seconds flat and will probably never want to go back to whatever you were listening to before. I know that is how I came to buy mine.

Enjoy those Martin Logans. I live in Lawrence, KS, where the ML factory is. I demo'ed a pair at the local HiFi shop (the $5k pair) and they were quite impressive. I want to tour the factory before I graduate.

The comments about plugging in a clock radio at Magnolia are quite humorous. Then I realize I've been banned from making coffee in two offices, one ex-girlfriend's house, and my parents' house... Somehow I seem to manage with the stereo though.

Nice McIntosh MC275! It's the MK-V reissue as well which is my favorite of the bunch.

Well, Wrat, not a single Carver piece in your rig. Why are you here? :o :-k

I was teasing. If it's in the closet, it's OK. I have a bunch of stuff in the closet too.
