Dreamer, that sub must have been made out of concrete several inches thick.
It should sound like it isn't there!

Concrete is not the same as silicone (i.e. electronics), although both have sand as a base ;) Electronics always fails/degrades one way or the other... plus some people upgrade and want something new \:D/

I think you mean silicon ViperZ, unless we're talking implants here. :D

The Martin Logan Depth, Depth i, and Descent and Descent i all use what ML calls "balanced force" design. The drivers are set up in a "Y" configuration to help cancel any resonance. Just good design!!! and I can attest to the fact the sub sounds great and does not move.

I was warned about vinyl addiction... now I have 3 preamps with phono stages (Carver C-1, Carver CT-28v, Cambridge Audio Azur 640P phono) - you need to compare, you know... then I had to get that fancy brush and cleaning solution for my LPs (well, that's really needed, some are dirty and need good cleaning)... good thing I cannot afford the record cleaning machine!

By the way, being a Polkie... I have never tried listening to Polk speakers connected to Carver gear (except for a short stint for TFM-24 connected to RT1000p mains, but that was just a quick 1-2 hr check).

Got Shure M97xE for my TT.... mmm... time to install it...

Also got a new stand for the HT:

The TV can be rotated on the pole. It's super-duper awesome! and also I am saving tons of space and getting better sound stage by putting the center channel on the shelf instead of it sitting in front of the stand on its own stand...

(and yes, I know I have a cable management "problem", but I have no clue on how to "fix" it)

That stand is an amazing space saver. I always really liked my previous stand (and it's moving to a 2-channel duty at my parents' place), but this one is perfect for condo.

No Carver equipment in the condo HT...

Sony KE-42TS2U 42" plasma
HK AVR520 Receiver
HK Citation 24 Amp (mains)
Toshiba HD-XA2 HD-DVD
Samsung BD-P1200 Blu-Ray
Polk RT1000p mains
Polk CS400 center
Polk R15 rears
NHT SubTwo subwoofer
Samsung DTB-H260F HD OTA Tuner
XBox360 (Media Center)

My HT setup got overhauled.

The new receiver is ONKYO TX-SR805. 51-lb beast!

The speakers are Infinity IL10 for mains and IL36c for the center (30+ lbs).

Just completed the refinishing project on Polk RT1000p (still need to put the speakers in the boxes). Fresh veneer instead of garbage paint and cloth finish. The look awesome!!!

Oh, since I just figured out that Samsung BD-P1200 will not bitstream HD formats properly, I got Sony BD-S550. 8)
