Painted face plate on PT 1250

Painted face plate on PT-1250 Anybody ever seen one? I bought my PT-1250 off E-bay and the face plate is painted flat black. The seller is telling me some were painted from the factory. Is this so? I was hoping it would match my PM-1.5

Thanks Jim

Post a pick. I've never seen FLAT black.
It should sound like it isn't there!

Re: Painted face plate on PT 1250

It's really semi flat black I guess It really doesn't show up in Pic. My question is was there any face plates painted from the factory?

Thanks Jim

Re: Painted face plate on PT 1250

I really don't know. Most of them are sort of gunmetal grey. I have an M-400 (not a or t) that's black that no one knew existed. But this is the real deal, because the lettering is on it.

Re: Painted face plate on PT 1250

I was referring to my M-400. I know there's nothing on the faceplate of the PT-1250., just handles. You could look for evidence of painting by taking the handles off and seeing if it was actually painted or powder-coated. See if the back is the same, etc.
