Have any of you tried these two types of WiFi MP3 devices?

BillD has a couple of Squeezeboxes in use and Toy Maker has one also, I believe. Haven't heard anyone mention the Sonos....

I looked at both, and the Sonos was lacking in my eyes !!
Pick up a Squeezebox, I've had mine for about 2 years, and it kicks ass !!!
My father liked mine so much, he got one too

Squeezeboxes are really great, but you should know up front about their limitations. They are only 48kHz devices (24-bit), so your music library should be ripped accordingly. If you try to play a higher sample rate, they go real slooooowwwww. CDs, being 16-bit and 44.1kHz play fine, of course. I had to down convert all my ripped vinyl from WAV at 192kHz to 48kHz (Apple lossless) to play it. Squeezecenter (the host software) is constantly in flux. I'm running a 7.4 nightly from January 1, which is working OK for me, but has its quirks (doesn't like McAfee). But it picks up my entire iTunes library automatically — which is nice.

Bill's right... If $$ isn't no issue, and you have an extra $2,000 laying around, go with the upgrade to the Squeexebox...
"THE TRANSPORTER" it will run the higher bitrates.

Man if I only had the bucks, I'd do that. I think it will do at least 96kHz, maybe 192.
