FS: Carver Receiver “Magnetic Field Amplifier”

Updating my collection. So I am selling Carver Am Fm stereo receiver, marking on front is “Magnetic Field Amplifier”. Originally I thought it is MRX-130, but then someone told me it is upgraded MRX-160 model with wooden side panels, with output power 160 watts per channel at 8 ohms. Cannot claim for sure.
Receiver is in the good cosmetic condition with two exceptions: one plastic knob was broken, so I replaced it with similar, but not identical knob and there is a fixed crack on the small plastic cover behind the right handle.
Receiver works fine, all controls & switches and lights operate as they should, tuner has terrific AM and FM reception featuring Carver’s asymmetrical charge coupled FM detector for achieving super quiet background in a FM signal. Sound quality said to be comparable to the one of monster Sansui receivers, especially good is bass reproduction due to the Carver’s “Magnetic Field” circuitry. High quality phono stage could be used as a separate phono preamplifier.
I am in north Chicago area, so local pickup is welcome.

Can you post some pics? You may want to drop the price to $175 obo if it needs a bit of spiffing up. That is what they trade for in very good condition with original knobs. If it has rack handles built into the face, it is the MXR-150. If the rack handles are attached with brackets it is the MXR-130.

So, this is a MXR-150 model with 150 WPC.
