Pair of AV-705 Amps, Corvallis, OR

Post by Uncle Paul » Sat Oct 17, 2009 11:36 am

I bought a TFM-55x and a CT-28v from them yesterday. Nice folks, run an, ahem, alternate smoke shop next to the Oregon State University campus. They still have a pair of nice looking AV-705's plus some other gear.

Hey Uncle Paul, is this a vintage shop with several components for sale? Might be worth a trip up that way if so. Thanks

No, it's an "alternative" smoke shop. Strange thing, they didn't have any cigarettes or cigars, but they had several strangely shaped flower vases. The vases have a unique feature - a little funnel sticking out of the side where you presumably add water without removing the flowers.

Haha, no, but I wouldn't mind trying some Cuban cigars one of these days. I smoke the cheap stuff > Swisher Sweets. I was in Irvine Ca. one time in a training class & a group of us went to the big Super Mall. I noticed a cigar shop & told the guys, hey, I'm going in to look for a small sweet cigar. The shop owner asked me; What kind of cigars do you smoke? I replied Swisher Sweets. He yells at me!~!!!! Get out of my store!!!! Wow! I must really smoke some terrible shit?

Smokeless (and chewless) myself, but don't care if, what, when, or where anybody else smokes. Actually enjoy the smell of cigars and pipes. None of my flower vases have the side mounted refill port, so someone else will need to bring them if we have a mini-fest.

One of the (few) benefits I had when working was going to Paris about four times a year for a couple of weeks each. There are few pleasures greater than smoking a Montecristo No. 4 cigar after a fine meal with a glass of cognac. After I retired I gave up both drinking and smoking. But then, how could I top that.
