C-4000 - very nice - with upgraded power cord

I am moving on to tubes.

I want to offer this very nice preamp here first, at a lower price, before I offer it on Audiogon.

I have a late model Serial #9148, Black, C-4000 with Element Basic power cord available. C-4000’s changed and improved over time. The phono board was improved and got quieter and a number of other big changes were made. I have been told by an expert that units with a serial #6000+ tend to be the best.

This is without a doubt the most flexible preamp I have ever owned.

Both moving magnet, and moving coil phono. I have a very nicely bound owner’s manual. It is a copy, but one might easily think it was an original.

There are a few scratches or nicks here and there on the case that have been touched up with felt tip pen. There are a few little nicks on the knobs, but they only show in really bright light, again felt tip pen. Over all the preamp looks very good.

The face plate and all the silk screening is very, very good! This really is a nice looking preamp.

The owner’s manual calls it a High Fidelity Control Console
--Wide-range Full-function Preamplifier
--Sonic Hologram Generator
--Autocorrelator Noise Reduction System
--Peak Unlimiter Dynamic Range Expander
--Time Delay

Volume control, balance control, phono 1, phono 2, tuner, aux 1, aux 2,tape monitor 1, tape monitor 2, Tape dub 1 to 2 and 2 to 1, External processor loop, Infrasonic Processor, Left and Right Treble, with turnover at 8kHz and 2kHz (defeatable), Left and Right Bass, with turnover at 40Hz or loudness conture (defeatable), -3db trim, stereo – mono switch, -15db output pad, speakers off switch, Autocorrelator, Peak Unlimiter, Sonic Hologram Generator, Time delay for surround ambience.

Also has a pigtailed Element Cable, $60.00 Element Power Cord. 10 gauge. All this for just $265.00 plus shipping. I will pay your PayPal fees.

Grab it while it is still available.

What do you mean, man? You can buy anything you want AND go on several vacations with that many checks.

And then after that the state or federal gov. will house, cloth, and feed you for FREE for a lot of years.
