Carver AL-III for sale - Seattle (Eastside)

I'm moving and these won't fit in the new home, otherwise I'd keep them forever. They are later AL-III units maybe AL-III plus (how to tell?) as the ribbons are the "crinkled" kind from the Amazings silver and platinums. The units are in good shape and sounds fantastic - feel free to audition. They've seen light use as mains in a home theater. The foam got old and needed to be removed. There is a decent dent in the oak in one of them, but tough to see from 6' away. The MDF is also peeling a bit on the top of the woofer enclosures. Both defects are pictured. I need to sell these in the next few days or they will move with me and probably end up in storage, which would be sad. PM / email me if you're interested. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY!

Asking $450 for both to get them moved.

might have to take a look see.....

going to go and pick these up today......
listen to them last night, they sounded good. but one of the woofers has issues....
no big deal, will try and fix it like I did the other one I gave away,
think the spider came unglued, not to hard to fix.....

going to use these as rears so the subs dont have to drive very hard.....

as we sat there listening I could see that the seller was having second thoughts ....
which I understand....
I asked are you sure you want to sell them?.....
listening to them, I was undoing the deal, as he said they sounded so good, and may not be able to replace them....
he need a bit more time to think on this. as too, did he really want to sell them....
no problem for me...nice ride there anyways...
but got the email letting me know I could come pick them up.....

Well done, you will be happy.

Now if I can find a pair at a good price in Ontario, Canada.

doh.....life can tease me at times. only 450....and the other coast as well. one day, i will have a third set for an awesome 6.1 surround sound.

well as my gluing of the spider went okay, but the woofer is not right, cone sits to low.
are you not needing this now?
I was looking at just changing them to infinitys, but as rears, they do not need this.
and I have to save $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for a lawyer, ex bieeaach and all...... I want my house back......
if you dont need this,I could use it.....
