I'm not gonna ask you where you live but are you anywhere near Charlotte? I really dig those amps but I'd like to audition them in a different setting with different speakers. How many tubes, both power and input do you have? That will determine if they are the Silver7's or not.

Pictures need to be down sized to 800 X 600 or smaller to fit screen but they look nice! What is your price for each?

Those are from the Carver Amazing Silver Edition, not the Original. The Silvers were the second (third?) edition to come out.

treitz3 wrote:I have never heard of such an animal but I do recall a ALS prototype or very limited production [one of the two] model that had 4 square honeycomb woofers in it. I'm sure that some long standing members of this board remember seeing the photos of it, however as far as I know, nobody has ever laid eyes on a pair. I don't think they were called the Silver 7 speakers though.

Maybe it's a product from Pheonix Gold or something from another one of the companies that ran the name into the ground to maximize profits? I am curious though, we have learned over the years about many Carver products that we never knew existed before. The Silver1 tubed preamp [1 of 3 in the world and never put into production] and the Darkstar Sub woofer [1 of either 2 or 3 ever made and again, never put into production] would be a good examples of that.

there is a guy near by that says he owns some silver seven spreakers although his desciption matches a set of al-III's. i sent him a email to send some photo's or maybe we could get together so i can check it out, but no reply.

Re: Do you think there would be any intrest in amazing woof

You guys are so good.. now I will see what they are for sure.. I will go thru the manual when I visit my dad :)
Take care everyone :)

As a note though.. they did come with the silver 7 mono blocks not the nines as later or with the speakers that held the four woofers instead of the three, and if i'm not mistaken didnt the honeycomb woofers come out after the cone ones? weren't the cone woofers the original of them? then he changed them as the were remade? we bought our first pair of them when they first came out.... just wondering ! Cheers :)

That pic shows Original Amazings. The honeycomb woofers were in the Originals ONLY....then the Silver& Platinum editions had the single ribbon & the cone speakers
