If he was selling just the sub...I'd be a little skeptical, but he's selling the entire system. This alone makes me a little more confident in the condition of the sub.
That's the one thing I enjoy about craigslist; you can go out and physically check the items before making the purchase.

You can definitely tell that the D-10 on craigslist is in much better condition (at least from the pictures provided). It almost looks like the D-8 from ebay has rust on the back.

It's mine now! Was in "like new" shape.
This speaker is still available from Sunfire, but is called the HRS-10. It has been produced for a long time, from between the time that Bob left Carver and marketed it as the Dominator D-10 from Speakers by Bob Carver, Then by Sunfire as both the D-10 and the HRS-10
