Re: WTB- ALS III BLACK FINISH

TN Rabbit would know but I think he's on vacation. I would think that ALIII's would have to be dismantled to ship. The ribbons in a box, the wood towers in a box, and the bass enclosure in a box. All would have to be well padded. You are going to spend ALOT on shipping with a fairly good chance that something will get damaged in the process. Any one else have any ideas??? :-s

Re: WTB- ALS III BLACK FINISH

IMO, you would be better off with a weekend road trip. Up one day and home on the next.

Though this does remind me of a road trip from Pittsburgh to Chicago beemers417 and I did. It was about 70 less miles and we did it in one day. It was a long day but worth making sure everything arrived in one piece.
Some cool Carver stuff!

Agree with road trip. That way you can inspect and then listen to make sure ribbons are good.

I'll add a third afirmation to going to get them.

I had to rent a van and make a weekend out of it but there was no way to ship them.

In the long run its the best way to go.

Agreed...take a trip if you want them, or wait for something closer.
