Carver 390-t up for sale

Hello all. I am selling my 390-t which I recently acquired. Honestly this unit is wasted on me and I think it deserves a better owner, so here we are! I am not a Carver expert by any stretch (more of a guitar / amplifier type and general music lover), but will try to describe the unit as best I can. If you have more specific questions just let me know I will do my best to answer them.

The good:

Nice cosmetic condition- some minor scratches here and there, but it is pretty clean for 17 years old. Face is pretty clean. Has the handles. I have probably tested it for 20+ hours and it works fine. Tubes have been upgraded to Amperex Bugle Boys (made in Holland). I have a PDF of the manual I can email you as well.

The less than perfect:

No remote control / original packaging. The tray is noisy when it changes discs, though I believe this is a common issue and that it needs some lube / grease and TLC to get it quiet again. Maybe a belt replacement? In any case, these things are best left for the new owner who has the experience, time, and patience to do it correctly. There is a small .5-1" scratch at the rear of the cover and one crosspiece of the ventillated portion of the cover is slightly bent. These are shown in the photos.

I am asking $425 plus actual shipping. I have experience shipping expensive guitars, bikes, etc, so I know the drill and will pack with extreme care. My ebay handle is "fenderheavy" if you want to check out my feedback.

Local pickup is always fine / preferred- I live in Sonoma County, CA. PM me if you are local and want to check it out. Also, I am more than happy to have any forum member over to audition the player and have a beer.

It looks extremely clean...the remote is very difficult to find...I have only seen 1 on ebay in the last couple of years and it didn't last long. I would think a price of $375 plus shipping would get a bite IMHO.

One my goals here is to get it into the hands of a more appreciative owner- that's why I didn't go the ebay route and brought it here first. Just want to get it to a good home and create some needed holiday cash in the household.
