sent the guy an offer, have not gotten a reply, so we shall see.

He had them for sale before at $600. I guess the strategy is raise the price and attract more offers.

i offered 400 as that is what i would spend on a good set. the last set i bought with a tfm35 for 500 if memory serves. the x-overs were toast though.
