Shipping Carver MK IV

To my chagrin, boxes for these guys looks like $200 apiece(wood), plus shipping of $100+, plus a third box for ancillary equipment. Unless someone else has a better idea, it looks like the only sale is local.

As I think about it the guy I bought these from worked for Fedex or something.

$200 a box for wooden crates for Plats sounds about right (I've seen them cost upwards of $500 apiece according to at least 2 sources). For speakers this large, local pickup or picking them up in a pickup, minivan or large SUV is your only other real option. You might want to look into moving companies who could squeeze them in with another delivery close-by as another possibility.
Why let facts or common sense get in the way of your opinions.

Check for shipping them via Greyhound; very reasonable & pretty safe.

Up here in Canada Greyhound is one of the most expensive ways to ship aanything, and I've seen how they toss parcels around, not good.
