If you wait long enough a set will show up local to you. Some areas of the country are more lucky than others. Beemers417 drove 300+ miles each way to pick up a set last year.
Some cool Carver stuff!

I had to go to Tucson to pick mine up, but that's only about 130 miles each way.
It should sound like it isn't there!

I was watching those ones. I think they were in Dover De? Got higher than I wanted to spend right now also.
Cool thing for me is that I know someone who has a spare set of AL III cross overs to convert a + to a non +. So if a set comes up close to me and I have some extra $$$ I can have two sets.

Some cool Carver stuff!
Re: Wanted pair of AL-III in southwest missouri
I found 1 pair in Wisconsin. 660 miles. Just a little to far for me. I would drive a couple hundred each way. Its frustrating. There is another pair of speakers that would be about half delivered on ebay right now. They are Klipsch Forte's. They do not have the silky sound of the AL's, but they do sound very good. Klipsch heritage speakers are nice.

I drove a little over 600 miles one way to pick mine up...through a snowstorm!
