I've been trying to post a detailed acount of this transaction,
but keep getting "timed out". Guess there is a time limit to the
post feature. So...here's the condensed version.
transaction...TFM-45 amplifier
seller...........Magnaryder
sent payment for amp Apr. 17, 2009
received damaged package with amp Jun 3
posted problems with amp in Forum Repair Section under
view topic "TFM-45 Problems??? on Jun 6
filed a "Damaged Package Report" with UPS Ground on Jun 6
telephoned Rita to get repair estimate on Jun 10 and was told
$175 + shipping (and not to use the amp with my unfused SDAs)
UPS conducted a "Damage Inspection" and told me the actual
"Damage Claim" had to be filed by the shipper of record. I passed
this information along to the seller.
seller PM'd me on Jun 16 saying another person had shipped the
package for him. He would contact them.
Jul 6 seller responded to my PM inquiry saying he thought the claim
had already been filed. It had not according to the UPS website.
Jul 10 I sent seller another PM inquiry about the claim status and
received no reply.
Jul 15 starting calling the seller but kept getting..."Welcome to
Verizon...telephone service is unavailable at this time" message.
JUl 26 received PM from seller stating "shipper told me you need
you make the claim on your end. It's insured for $100..."
Since, as the receipient of the package, I can't file a Damage Claim
and since I can't contact the seller by phone and he doesn't reply
to recent PM's I'm frustrated. I was very hesitant about posting
this matter, but have run out of options. I'm not trying to impugn
anyone....just want to get the amp repaired.
If anyone can get a message to Ray (Magnaryder) please have him
give me a call...he has my telephone number.
Hopefully this transaction will still have a happy ending....
