Lookin' good, John...
John, when is the expected arrival time for the transformers and is that the last component needed to let them start singing?

x2 to all the above superlative responses; you should be very proud--they look fantabulous!
However, that cannot possibly be a Carver amp as it has THREE prongs on the power cord~

Getting the brain circuits workin' just thinkin' about it...
Actually, if I'm not mistaken, the Lightstar amps and possibly the TFM-75 had 3 prong IEC connections. What does make this a Carver amplifier is the fact that Bob is winding the transformers by hand. Gorgeous nonetheless, no matter where your stance may be on it being or not being a Carver amp.

Transformers are still a couple weeks out, and I still do not have the proper schematics or tagboard layouts, so the internals are only half finished. I still have a band of aluminum trim for the bottoms of the transformer covers, pinstripe work on the covers, and finish work to be done for the wood side panels, but the essence of the design shown in the pictures is what they will look like when completed.
I may be making a trip to Snohomish in the next few months to spend a couple weeks with Bob, so that he can walk me through the final aspects of getting these babies to sing. As far as these being Carver amps... they are because Bob said they are, and the level of care and detail put into giving them life bring honor to his legacy in the audio world. These are indeed Carvers.

I am deeply grateful for all the support you guys have given me in getting these amps to where they are today. Many times since I began, I wondered if this project was worth the effort, and came close more than a few times to placing it on a shelf in the garage. The encouragenment found here has kept these alive and at the center of my attention. Thanks guys! If there is ever another pair made, they will be offered here as Karma for all the kindness you guys have shown to this project.
John
