Guys,

You would have to ship, but I have some top notch steel vendors who powdercoat daily for me.

Just a thought...

Thanks for the offer.

The powder coater here does a good job. But for the level these amps will be when finished, powder coat just isn't the way to go. Automotive base coat / clear coat is the way to go. I was hoping the powder coat would come out better than it did.
But that's ok. The powder coat makes for an awesome baked on primer coat.

No problem, I'm sure you have someone close by to spray, if not, we could spray as well.

I will probably go ahead and paint them myself. I've done plenty of painting over the years. We used to build custom bases for the scale models we built for customers. One of the nicest paints I ever used was PPG's DelStar single stage acrylic enamel. That shit laid on like a mirror sheet of glass!!!

Unfortunately, DelStar has been discontinued, as most have gone over to urethane or waterborne now.
I will more than likely use urethane base coat / clear coat to get the really deep gloss black. Plus it will give me plenty of material to wetsand and polish should anything get in the clear.

Here is a photo of one of the DelStar bases I painted... God I loved that paint!!!!!
