Ok here is my initial thought, WOW! With my EH EL84's my amp sounds nice, good bass, slightly rolled off highs, very good midrange with nice imaging. Not so great is the sense of space, the music doesn't go beyond my speakers. I put in the Siemens EL84L's and now the sound is more transparent, airy , better highs and a soundstage that now goes beyond my speakers. All this out the box. This doesn't matter but I noticed these tubes burn brighter. These tubes make me miss the Lightstar less. More to come next week after these babies have got some break in time.

I will also roll the 12AX7's right now I'm using the Siemens 12AX7's with the GE triple mica black plate 5751's on deck.

it looks like I have spend an other $160.00 on some Siemens. I'm not too happy with you :rolleyes:
