As requested, the mod only effects the MC side, if running MM it make no difference.

Thanks Brian. Those extra tubes look like they're running from 6DJ8 sockets. Are they 12ax7s?

Magnaryder

Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.

Ray.

You are correct, they are pigged backed to 6922 sockets, and they are 6922 tubes.
The phono board has a total of 8 tubes, 6 x 6922 & 2 x 12AX7 broken down like this.
5 x 6922 in the MC section. 2 X 12AX7 & 1 x 6922 in the MM section. So with a MC cart
all 8 tubes are used, with a MM cart 3 tubes are used 2 x 12 AX7 & 1 x 6922 .

Correct, you get the cookie

According to Bob, they lower the noise floor by 10db from a s/n 76db to s/n 86db
thats better than a lot of solid state MM sections.

OK Vance,

I like cookies as well, my favourite the monument are the white chocolate chip that Costco sells.

So why don't you go pick a box up, let me know the cost and I will PayPal you the amount.

Or you could come to CF14 and we can both share a couple of boxes of them \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
