Update on Carverfest '10

Post by treitz3 » Fri Feb 19, 2010 11:37 am

OK folks, I just got off the phone with Susan. She will be exclusively taking care of all of the reservations for this year's Carverfest. When you want to make a deposit or final payment, be sure to talk to her as she is the one who is in charge of all Carverfest accommodations/payments.

Once again, contact me first when and if you are interested in attending and once plans have been made please contact Susan. She will be taking all payments and making final arrangements that are authorized by myself.

Susan can be reached at 828-488-3688 EST during banking hours only.

As of right now, a hold has been put on every single cabin in the Watershed area for this event. That means that the general public will not have any chance whatsoever of renting any cabin out from underneath us. Please keep in mind that as of this post, only Watershed's 5 [4 bedroom cabin] and 6 [3 bedroom cabin] are available along with 4 of the Treehouses [2 person max. cabins - NO stereos or children allowed unless we rent ALL of them].

Call me, please. The number is 803-371-7089. We'll figure out what cabin you'll be staying in...

tried to book on line last month - no go -
booked today in a treehouse for 4 nights - 16,17,18,19

I sure look forward to hearing the "real" stuff that only you guys have. I guess other people may have bits of it, but none understand it and love it the same.

The rooms are reasonable, but my my bride is worried that after a few days there I might want to upgrade again.

Looking on the web, this place looks kinda out there -
How far will I have to drive to find food that is already cooked?

no, really, I can't eat at cabin 10 all the time

do I have to cook?

I am bringing a babe I met at Lowes. Looking at her, I doubt she is into cooking.

Is there a Taco Bell nearby?

You are pretty much on your own for breakfest and lunch. You can contribute to the CF meals fund and eat dinner at WS10. There is a thread about that somewhere. I will see if I can find it for you.

There are a few fast food places and a greasy pizza joint in Byson City, which is about 10 miles away. For any kind of good restaurant food you have to go to Asheville, which is a least an hour.
