I don't know about that, Jesse....these have an even larger base:

If they sound similar to the Scaena loudspeakers pictured and retail for a fraction of their price, this will be a home run IMHO. Those speakers image like no other and have a soundstage that you have to hear to believe. Zoot horn can verify that statement. We both heard at the audio show in Atlanta last April.

Re: New ALS Speaker "Base Design" Update

We know these speakers very well. I have checked them out before.

I know our base is plenty small enough for the height of the speaker.

Jesse,
How many people bought the Amazings and AL-III's ? How about the big ole Klipsch and Polks ? I think they look great. Very cool looking. I can envision them with some cool looking small fake plants around those bases. I'd buy them if I had your wallet ! :D

Ok, NO JOKE!!! I was taking a pic of the Powder coated extrusion and when I was done, I kicked the drop pieces that were holding the legs up across the floor and this is how they wound up.

Strap a 35-lb weight on the bottom of the stand & I'll bet that would firm these right up~

But does the base have enough weight to impede it from tipping over?
