Plat MarkIVs fuses

I tried doing a few different searches thinking this would be a general topic so I guess I'm not either seeing it or its just not there.

What size and type of fuse is needed for these speakers?

I think they use 4 amp slo-blo, but I'm not certain. How many are there per speaker?

If you did not purchase them new don't think the fuses that happen to be in there are the proper fuses. I would definitely suggest reading your owners manual for the proper info on fuse replacement. If you don't have your owners manual, Get One! In the meantime you can also ask someone who has a pair of Mark IV's to look up the fuse requirements in their owners manual for you. In this instance having the proper fuses could save you alot of $$$ if the kleutinator valve in your amp fails and it then tries to send all the Magic Smoke down stream right into your Plats! By the way, If it smells like burnt hot dogs it's too late!

I believe they are Cooper-Bussman MDQ-4, which are 4 amp, dual element slow blow fuses. They are hard to find, but I bought a metal box of five off the Internet before I went to Reese's to work on his Platinum upgraded ALSs

I bought the speakers new and had replaced them once or twice but that was awhile ago.

I had printed off the service manual. Will have to look in there and see if I can find the answer in there.

Then the trick will be finding them and stocking up

They are the MDQ 4 fuse.

These are what came with the speakers when I bought them new from the store. This is a fast acting fuse. The other one posted is a slow-blow

So now the question is, which one is the correct one?

I found 2 sites that have the MDQ 4 listed but the pics are different and one is fast-acting and one is a slo-blow

The one at Bussman is the correct one. The one at Digi-Key is an AGC-4, which is a fast bolw fuse. The one in the picture I posted is a slow blow (time delay, if you will) fuse.
