Carver Amazing 60" Ribbon Better Than BG 60" Ribbon From PE?

So, I wonder what are the options to get the replacement for 60" Carver Ribbons. I know Dave S would repair the old Carver Ribbons and TM in this forum may have new ones for sale but besides them, anyone makes ribbon or sells ribbon materials?

Would BG Ribbon be comparable to sonics performance to the ones come with ALS?

From what I know DaveS and Toy Maker have the best solution. Parts Express I think has a replacement but someone said that they are not as good as the OEM from Carver.

From what I've heard the BG ribbons are not the same as Carver's.

Screw the BG ribbons. Sub par replacement. Dave will make them proper.

Nothing out there as good as the origianls.
BG never made a 60" either, theirs was 75"
I have a set, but never bothered hooking them up, and X-over point is 400Hz..
WAY too high for what I want.

Yep James! I was incorrect! BG never made 60" version. The longer 75" RD75 is not going to work with the Carver Plats.

So, I am thinking what options do I have with the crap ribbons. Send to Sir Dave S or buy a new set.

Any chance Sir Dave S might help rebuilding these ribbons at home? I've taken one apart before and able to put them back without any problems (works well after putting them back together) but with much difficulty and with some tinkering.

Listen to what Toymaker or DaveS says about shipping them. I heard the story about that set of ribbons and it was not pretty what happened to them. Packaging is very important. Lets me say that again...Packaging them correctly is very important!
