I have contacted Ada from Orevox and she said the paper cone woofers for ALS Plats will be in stock again around April.

They aren't going to have any papercone WP-1120 woofers until sometime in April. The one time it sucks to have Plats. Now if you need the honeycomb woofers, those are in stock from what I was told.

Ada has had me on that list for a while, ? Anyone ever ask her if they can also carry the surrounds? I think they should sell both, in this economy more options means more / mo money! OH and $89 will not due as with shipping that would be almost $800 for 8 Drivers

I asked Ada if they can do re-edging or re-foaming to the old ones, she asked someone in the back room and asked me to hold. After waiting about 10 minutes for her to come back, the answer is NO. It's simply cheaper for them to sell you a new one and they don't have any foam kit to refoam the old ones.

I think the new pricing may be well below $89. It will be around $45-$50, I think.

All this whining about the cost of the woofers cracks me up. Have any of you stopped to think what a pair of new Plat's would cost today? Try at least 3 times what they did originally, so stop the whining as it's not very becoming.

I don't know about why it should cost about 3 times but I thought about it! If plats are to be manufactured again today, it should come close to 10x from what I paid! But still, it doesn't hurt to be able to buy cheap replacement woofers. All about Bob and his talent is putting together cheap parts to make a good sounding gears!

Ray I am still working on that put every thing I found at this time is that I would have to lay out alot of cash to have tooling made. I am looking for the original maker of the surrounds or woofers and had no luck in doing so! But I am still looking for some one to make them or anyone who can make them put it is not going so good! Eddie!
