nice...

the ribbons in these thing are nice and tight.
these were made in 95, so I would guess some of the last out the door.
the lady who owned them was the purchaser for carver,
said when they got down to 12 people left it was time to look for a new job.....

they used these as surround speakers, so my guess is these have low hours and were not drivven that hard, I think the woofer died due to the spider drying out, glue breaking away, and letting the V/C rub and smoke it self.
the bass level is way more than the oem thats for sure.....

I have the gains turned on the amps less than 1/2 up and it has a lot of punch......
these would sound good with the single VC.
I can tell you that they have way more low end than it came stock with....
100% more.....
I am thinking the stock port is a bit on the small side...
this can be fixed real easy, hole saw and a piece of tube, just haven't done this yet....
I think that any "good" sub would be better than the stock one it came with....
as with all things that are made, the guts can be better, but the profit margin goes down...
so its a bit of give and take.....
you have the single VC?
I don't know if it would be worth the $$$$ to do dual VC....
I don't think you would gain a whole lot, and you just have to add a second amp.....
not really a bad thing tho.....
