FYI: AL-III crossover schematics & service manuals!

I contacted Bob via email today to inquire about getting the crossover schematics & service manuals for the AL-III speakers. He responded with this:

"I'll see what I can do. I know we have some somewhere.
Stand by for a few days,

Bob"

That's how he responded to me a few months ago. I hope you have better luck.

Re: FYI: AL-III crossover schematics & service manuals!

Update--heard this from Bob last Saturday:

I have been unable to find the schematic myself, but not to worry. Margaret (Peggy), is going to help me find it, and with a little bit of luck we will find it and she will email it. So I haven't forgotten about you, it just may take me a little more time to find it.

Stand by,

Bob and Peggy

Rabbit,
I have the owners manual if you need one of those. Good luck with the service manual.

Thanks, Skip; I have the owner's manual. The crossover schematic & service manual are the ones we've needed as NO ONE seems to have them~

Re: FYI: AL-III crossover schematics & service manuals!

i want a service manual as well. there are atleast 5 revisions on the crossovers. i have some panels with revision b then a later set with revision e. i have one set of al-III's that have a b panel and a e panel with the same serial numbers as they were bought as a set. i am really starting to question the qc at the factory when it came to these speakers. the last pair of speakers i got last month had one ribbon wired out of phase as well. as a side note, i have sourced were there are new l pads that look like the ones in the x-overs. a manual would make it 100% to be for sure they are the same.

Re: FYI: AL-III crossover schematics & service manuals!

Damn.

Angelo, do you think you can draw the schematic of what you have (Rev. B and E). If you look at the Amazing service manual, the revisions were fast and furious with crossover revisions. There was one that lasted exactly one day, and we had a member that had that crossover (I think it was on the Silvers). It's almost as if you have whatever you find in them. Manuals won't help there.

James, that would be super. I see you're looking forward to CarverFest (considering your new signature) a little more now that the wife and daughters aren't coming! 8)
