They say that necesity is the mother of invention, well I need to have my Amazings in my living room which is my 2 year olds domain the majority of the day. He has already taken out one ribbon with a toy meets speaker mishap, so I've been trying to figure out a way that my son and my amazings can coexist in one space.
Well, I thought and thought....and read a thread over on audiokarma where someone proposed using screen door material to screen off the ribbons. Within 24 hours, this is what I came up with. The front screening is held in place by nothing but the tension holding the ribbon on the baffle. The rear screens I made to size and attached to the rear of the ribbons with double stick tape. I wanted to make something that could easily be removed and wouldn't permanently alter (read hack) the speakers. What do you guys think?
