Totally Agree! You do deserve OEM and that is what you Ordered and paid for and its what they claim to be offering...

I agree with Tom. Don't fall the BS. You deserve what you payed for, nothing less.

I put mine in less than a year ago and they fit fine.

if they can gut and rebuild then they have SURROUNDS, see if they will just send/sell? you the surrounds for your OEM woofers.
I think the OEM are better than the replacements I have now....

there are surrounds in the works now, soon I hope

Re: Need help from those that received drivers from Dynavox

From Orevox:

I double checked the basket cut-out size for the existing batch and previous batch(the one with 45 degree separation mounting holes). They are within 1mm difference and both fit in 10-5/8" cut-out snugly. 10-5/8"=270mm These 2 baskets are measured 266 mm & 267 mm for the cut-out. So far, you are the only one customer had issue with it. The batches with 45 degree separation mounting holes and 266mm cut-out ID basket were built before last year and the same basket is no longer obtainable. All new batches received since last winter have been 6 mounting hole pattern with slightly larger ID of 267mm. L type terminal is the original design and we admitted it is our fault. However, the terminal is solder-able. We also can provide female connectors for customer to cut off existing speaker wires and combine them into single spade connection.

Sooo, they have changed the basket which affected the size, mounting hole pattern, and spade configuration.

They'll rebuild mine w/new cones/spiders. Looks like that's the route I'll go as there is way more than 1mm of wood that needs to come out. Not to mention drilling new mounting holes.

Now for the task of fabricating packaging for mine that will be UPS proof.

Got my original drivers back, freshly rebuilt. Now to find the time to install them. Soldering is one art I could never master. ](*,)

Soldering is ALL ABOUT the cleanliness of your TIP.

Not unlike some other areas....
