back plate temperture?

was listening to my al3 + last nite and blew a fuse. and noticed when i went to change it out the back plate was warm,not hott but it was warm. is that normal when driving them at moderate level?
carver ct29v,tfm-15cb,tfm-35x,m1-ot,tlm-3600, pair of 9 t's ,c5,adcom 535 II,oppo 981 dvd, polk sda srs 2.3tl,polk sda srs 1.2
tfm-42,AL-III+, yaqin 10l

If you were doing enough to blow a fuse, it's no wonder they were warm.

What amp were you driving them with? Double check the impedance of the speakers to see if there's an issue.

I wouldn't worry about it. My AL-III's used to get warm when I was listening at moderate levels too ! I never had enough power to blow a fuse either.
