Carver AL-III Ribbon Repair Frustration

I have two AL-III ribbons that need repair. I have called the number for James Sauter who is recommended on the Carver Site to no avail. I have repeatedly called and even sent a message, but no response. Does anyone have any updated info on where to get these repaired? I would even buy new ones if I could find them. Thanks in advance!

I am sitting here next to James, all of his information is still the same. I will tell him to stop ignoring his phone, he has been doing that allot lately....

Not to make excuses but I know they're covered up with making the new ALS speakers. I called and talked to james' son, Alex, just now. He said he would let James know.

I was able to put back on the magnets in place and I am working on to rebuilt my 30 inch carver .

I have 5 .
2 60 inches and

3 with 30 inch .

Only one working .

I got the materials from ebay Mylar 6 micron the aluminum from Cosco food stand .

However, I have the hard time to glue the aluminum to the mylar and I have too many connection . It doesn't look to smooth.

I also use the material from Mycrolite ( use in airplane model). It is very messy because of the glue .

any help would be appreciated.

hello ribbonspeaker, welcome aboard. good luck for sure as the mylar replacement for the panels. i just had a 30" done by alex and james this past week. what james uses is manufactured and sold in a large quantity that is in the thousands when the sauters order a new batch. you have taken on a real undertaking i am sure to get it done in a small quantity. please keep us informed on how it comes out.

now on the other guy, if yours are the ribbons that were repaired while i was visiting, i think they are being sent out in the next day or so if they didn't go out today. they truely do remanufacture them as i am a first hand witness. good luck all.
